The door slides into a wall cavity so the opening is completely clear. Needs planning before the wall is built.

For balcony openings up to about 3 metres wide, a standard or slim sliding system is enough. Once individual glass panels get heavier than about 120kg, or you want the best possible seal against dust and heat, lift-and-slide is worth the extra cost. We recommend a system at the site visit based on the opening size, floor finish and how the room is used.
Yes, if the track can be recessed into the screed. This is easiest during construction or a floor renovation. On existing floors we use a low-profile track and a drainage channel outside so rainwater and wash water cannot run back in.
Sand in the track and worn rollers are the usual causes. Most doors can be fixed by cleaning the track and replacing the rollers and brushes, which costs a fraction of a new door. Our repair team handles any brand of aluminium sliding door.
