Balustrades should use laminated toughened glass, typically 13.52mm to 21.52mm depending on the height, fixing and whether there is a handrail. If a laminated panel cracks, the interlayer holds it in place instead of leaving an open edge. Many buildings and communities also require a handrail or a minimum height, which we confirm before ordering.
Replacing a balustrade in a villa usually needs no permit. In apartment buildings and gated communities, the building management often controls the facade and needs an NOC before any change. We prepare drawings that match the building's requirements.
